Welcome to A Toast to Toasties, a Chester-based mobile catering business bringing gourmet sourdough toasties, premium Frizzante sparkling wine and a little extra sparkle to weddings, parties and celebrations across the North West.
Behind the polished chrome trailer are Laura, Danny and Dan, three people brought together by friendship, family and a shared passion for food.
Every great idea has to start somewhere, and for A Toast to Toasties, it started with Laura’s dream of having her very own food trailer.
After years of working in hospitality, Laura loved the idea of creating something special around food and bringing people together. Eventually, she decided to turn that dream into reality, investing in a beautiful Airstream-style trailer for its gorgeous, standout appearance.
But a stunning trailer needed a menu to match.
That’s where Dan came in.
With his love of experimenting in the kitchen and discovering new flavour combinations, Dan was given the exciting task of creating the first sample menu of gourmet toasties.
And, of course, every good menu needs a tasting night!
Enter Danny, a professional chef and a longtime friend of Laura’s.
Laura and Danny first met back in 2005 while working together at the Fat Cat Restaurant in Chester. After five years working alongside each other, their friendship continued through years of BBQs, drinks and get-togethers.
Dan, who has been with Laura for seven years, got to know Danny through her, and the three already shared a love of good food and great company.
So when it came to putting the toasties to the test, Danny was the perfect person to invite along.
After the tasting night, and once Danny had seen the gorgeous trailer for himself, he was inspired to become part of the adventure too.
And just like that, A Toast to Toasties became a team of three.
What began as Laura’s dream has grown into something the three of us are excited to build together, combining Laura’s hospitality experience, Dan’s creativity and Danny’s professional kitchen expertise.
All wrapped up in one shiny trailer, with plenty of delicious toasties and a little fizz on the side.
The Dreamer & Organiser
With seven years of hospitality experience, from waitress to assistant restaurant manager in Frodsham, Laura knows what makes great service.
Now working as Head of Finance & HR, she brings organisation, management experience and a genuine love of people to the team.
The dream of having her own food trailer was where it all began, and seeing that dream come to life is what makes A Toast to Toasties so special to her.
Head Chef & Food Lover
Having worked as head chef of various restaurants, Danny brings professional kitchen experience, a passion for great ingredients and a friendly, welcoming personality.
A longtime friend of Laura’s since their restaurant days in 2005, Danny joined the adventure after a toastie tasting night and seeing the trailer.
For Danny, it’s all about delicious food, happy guests and bringing people together.
The Flavour Explorer & Conversation Starter
An avid foodie with a love of experimenting in the kitchen, Dan was the creative mind behind the very first sample toastie menu.
With a background in sales and a natural ability to talk to just about anyone, he brings fresh ideas, enthusiasm and plenty of personality to the team.
Dan and Laura have been together for seven years and are proud parents to a little girl who is their world.
For us, A Toast to Toasties is about more than serving great food.
It’s about bringing people together, creating happy memories and adding something a little different to life’s special occasions.
Our gourmet sourdough toasties bring the comfort.
Our premium Frizzante brings the sparkle.
And the three of us bring the personality.
